Oatmeal Cinnamon Raison Bars
These healthy bars are made with whole grains with a sweet raison filling make a great energy snack or breakfast treat. They may be served warm or at room temperature.
Oatmeal Cinnamon Raison Bars Recipe
Stir together the following:
- 1 1/2 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
- 3/4 Cup Whole Wheat
- 3/4 Cup White Flour
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Cut into the above mix:
- 1 Cup of Butter (shredded)

Mix the ingredients above. Mixture will be crumbly. Press 2/3 of the above mix into an ungreased 9 x 13 baking dish. Spread with the Filling (Recipe below)

Cook Filling

Sauce will darken

Sauce will thicken

Raison Filling:
Combine the following in a saucepan
- 2 Cups of Raisons
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Conrstarch
- 1 Cup Water
Cook until sauce thickens and mixture is bubbly. Spread the filling over the crumb your have pressed into the baking dish.

Then top with the remaining crumb mix.
Bake 350° about 20 minutes

Mix Glaze Topping

Glaze will be thick

Glaze Topping:
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons milk

After removing the pan from oven, drizzle the glaze topping over the bars. Cut into squares. Can be served warm. After they cool cover baking dish with foil to prevent them from drying out.
